🙋 FAQItinerary planner questions about Guernsey

Two days covers the main highlights, three gives you room for beaches and a coastal walk without rushing, and five lets you slow down and explore the quieter corners.
Yes. Guernsey sits just off the coast of Normandy in France and is a short hop from Jersey, another Channel Island, while England lies to the north, so France and the UK pair easily with it on one trip.

Build a multi-country route
Yes. Stops are sequenced to minimize backtracking and grouped by how close they are to each other, and your chosen travel pace (fast, normal, or slow) adjusts how much ground each day covers.
Absolutely. Adjust your trip length, interests, starting point, or travel style and generate a new route in seconds.
Yes, generating and viewing your route is completely free. An offline-friendly PDF version is available as an optional purchase which gives more detailed information for each location on your route.

🗺️ RegionsPlanning a route across Guernsey's regions

Guernsey is small enough that most places sit within a short hop of each other, yet spread enough that a careless plan still wastes hours. Castle Cornet looks over the harbor on the east side, while Cobo Bay faces the sunsets on the west, so pairing stops by area saves real time. The planner keeps nearby places together and lays out your days so you move steadily in one direction rather than doubling back.

⚙️ How it worksThe logic behind your route

The planner starts with your trip length, your interests and your pace, then groups stops that sit close together so you never zigzag back across the island. It also picks a sensible direction through those groups, so each day flows on from the last instead of criss-crossing. Time per stop depends on what it is and what else is nearby: a town with several attractions around it becomes a base where you stay longer, while smaller spots close by are treated as easy outings from it. Say you choose beaches and a relaxed pace. Cobo Bay might get a long, unhurried slot, with neighboring stops placed on the same day so your afternoon doesn’t turn into a drive. Faster pace, more stops per day, shorter stays. Slower pace, fewer stops and more time to linger. Either way, you can see why each stop sits where it does.
