To add mountain time in places like Rugova or Brezovica and explore more calmly, stretching your trip to around 5 days works much better.
Kosovo combines easily with Albania, North Macedonia, and Montenegro because they are next door and well linked by buses and shared taxis, and many travelers also pair it with Serbia for a broader Balkans loop. You can also connect it with Bosnia and Herzegovina or even Greece as part of a longer overland route through the region.
