Go on a weekday and you get Port Moresby’s best-known family playground nearly to yourself, while weekends fill with local families and the queues build. Adventure Park PNG sits northeast of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea’s capital region, on the outer edge of the sprawl rather than in the city center. That placement is why it feels calmer than downtown: the city’s grit gives way to open ground and a little breathing room, and an experienced traveler books a private driver or a hotel-arranged car instead of hunting for public minibuses (PMVs), because the routes out here are not set up for visitors.
