- Basco Lighthouse / Naidi Hills — A short, easy climb to a classic lighthouse set on a grassy ridge. The views sweep from Basco town to the runway and out to the endless Pacific; golden-hour light here is ridiculous for photos and you can feel the raw ocean wind in your face.
- Vayang Rolling Hills — Wide, soft hills that roll down to sea cliffs; great for dawn walks, quick hikes and low-effort panoramas. The grass, sky and sea meet in simple, cinematic layers—perfect when you want solitude without a long trek.
- Racuh a Payaman (Marlboro Country) — That postcard-perfect plateau of wind-swept grass and ribs of earth. It feels like an Irish pasture dropped in the tropics. Personal favorite: I can sit there for hours watching clouds race across the horizon and never get bored.

- Valugan Boulder Beach — A dramatic stretch of black volcanic boulders pummeled by surf. It’s not a swimming beach, but the geology, pounding waves and spray make it one of the most otherworldly coastal sights in the islands.
- Sabtang Island — Chamantad-Tinyan Viewpoint & Ivatan villages — Sabtang mixes sheer coastal cliffs and wave-cut terraces with tiny stone-walled villages like Chavayan and Savidug. The rock formations, traditional Ivatan houses and cliffside views feel both rugged and timeless.
- Mount Iraya — A dormant stratovolcano on Batan Island. The hike is steep and leafy, rewarding persistent walkers with panoramic island views and a reminder that these islands are born from fire. It’s best done with a local guide and some patience.
- Seabirds, marine life & snorkeling spots — The protected seascapes mean good shorebird and seabird watching, plus healthy reefs and offshore life—reef fish, nudibranchs, and sometimes dolphins. Conditions can be rough, so plan snorkels with a local boat operator who knows the currents.
