- Ba Be Lake — Vietnam’s largest natural freshwater lake, split into three linked basins. Glassy water, little islands and steep limestone walls make it perfect for slow boat rides, sunrise photos and relaxed afternoons at a homestay.
- Puông Cave — a short boat crawl takes you through a dramatic cave tunnel studded with stalactites; it feels otherworldly when light and echoes play on the rock. (Personal favorite — it’s simple, cinematic and impossible to forget.)
- Pac Ngoi Tay Village — real village life among Tay stilt houses: walkable lanes, local markets, home-cooked meals and friendly hosts who’ll show you rice farming, fishing or their traditional crafts.
- Nang River — the river that drains the lake, threading between karst cliffs and forest. Take a slow boat to see floating vegetable

- Nang River — the river that drains the lake, threading between karst cliffs and forest. Take a slow boat to see floating vegetable gardens, riverbank birdlife and quiet river scenery not visible from the main road.
- Dau Đẳng Waterfall — a rewarding jungle trek ends at a multi-tiered cascade with cool pools. Great for a swim in the wet season and for a less-crowded nature break away from the lake.
- Cave systems & karst scenery — beyond Puông there are smaller caves and sheer limestone towers to explore; short hikes and viewpoints give great panoramas and photo opportunities.
- Wildlife & birdwatching — the park’s forests and waterways host a surprising variety of birds, frogs, freshwater fish and primates. Dawn and dusk are best for sightings—bring binoculars and a patient guide.
