- Sunrise ritual & morning street life (Day) — My Khe’s long, flat shoreline fills with tai chi groups, runners, and fishermen at first light; the wide horizon produces some of the cleanest sunrises in Da Nang and the atmosphere feels quietly local rather than touristy. Personal favorite — nothing beats a hot coffee on the sand as the fishermen bring in their first catch.
- Beginner-friendly surfing and SUP (Day) — The beach has gentle, consistent peelable waves and a long shallow runout, which makes it one of the easiest places in Vietnam to learn to surf or stand-up paddle without getting dumped on every set. Gear is cheap to rent and lesson spots are plentiful, so you can progress fast without spending a fortune.
- Fresh seafood stalls and beach barbecues (Evening/Night) — Vendors set up

- Fresh seafood stalls and beach barbecues (Evening/Night) — Vendors set up casual grills and low tables near the sand so you can pick the day’s catch and have it charred right in front of you. It’s messy, fresh, and local — far more authentic (and cheaper) than sit-down tourist restaurants inland.
- Evening promenade & city-skyline viewing (Night) — After sunset the beachfront promenade becomes the place to stroll or rent a cheap bike; the city’s lit bridges and the silhouette of the nearby hills make for pleasant, low-key nightlife. It’s perfect for cooling off, grabbing a snack from a street cart, and people-watching without the club scene.
- Framing scenery: Son Tra peninsula and Marble Mountains vistas (Day) — What makes My Khe feel distinct is the dramatic backdrop: a rocky headland to one side and limestone peaks on the other. Short scooter runs to nearby viewpoints turn a beach day into a proper landscape trip — great for photos and quick escapes from the sand.
