- Seaside food stalls and small “hotely” eateries — Not a single landmark, but the string of family-run places along the water serve simple rice-and-seafood plates and are where you taste genuine Maintirano cooking without the tourist gloss.
- Sunset viewpoint near the town cemetery — A short uphill walk brings you to a plain viewpoint overlooking town and bay. People come here for sunsets, quiet reflection, and to watch the fishing fleet lights come on at dusk.
