Equatorial Guinea Itinerary Planner

Set your trip length, pick any mix of interests, and choose a travel style and pace. That is enough to get a finished Equatorial Guinea route built around your priorities. If you already know where you want to start or finish, or have a stop you will not skip, such as Malabo, add it and the rest of the route is arranged around it. Two days or a longer stretch, a quick pace or an unhurried one: the plan follows your choices and nothing else.

🙋 FAQFrequently asked questions

Two days covers a short visit with a single focus, three days gives a medium trip a little breathing room, and five days suits a longer trip that includes more than one area. Add days if you want a slower pace or more interests.
Yes, Equatorial Guinea’s mainland shares land borders with Cameroon to the north and Gabon to the east and south, so both can be paired on one trip overland. The island of Bioko lies just off the Cameroon coast, which makes Cameroon the closest neighbor to combine.

Build a multi-country route

🗺️ RegionsWhere things are located

Equatorial Guinea is a small country, but its parts are far apart. Isla de Bioko, where Malabo sits, lies offshore in the Gulf of Guinea, while the mainland section, home to Bata and Parque Nacional de Monte Alén, is a separate piece of land. Annobón is more remote still, a small island well to the southwest. Because of these gaps, the planner groups nearby places together and moves through them in one direction, so a short trip does not spend its days going back and forth.

⚙️ How it worksFrom your choices to a finished itinerary

You choose a trip length, your interests (any mix of cities and towns, villages, landmarks, national parks, hikes, beaches and attractions), and a style and pace. The planner then picks real places that fit and arranges them into a day-by-day route. First, it groups places that sit close together, so you are not crossing the country and returning to the same area twice. Second, it picks one sensible direction through those groups, so the route moves forward from one area to the next instead of zigzagging. Third, it sets the time at each stop by what the stop is and how many other places are clustered around it. A town with several sights nearby becomes a base where you stay longer, and the smaller spots around it are treated as day trips. Malabo is a good example. If several of your chosen places cluster near it, it gets more nights, and the nearby stops are visited from there rather than each needing a separate move. A slower pace stretches those stays, and a faster pace trims them.
